TRIP INFORMATION
Dear Barnegat Bay fisherman,
Thanks for your interest in A2Z fish and what we do! We will fish from a 22' Catamaran custom rigged and ready to hunt for Weakfish, Striped Bass and Summer Flounder, in the shallows and backwaters of the Barnegat inlet and bay system. Specializing in, light casting tackle with artificial baits and fly fishing in the tidal waters of the Barnegat inlet and back bay system. Our most productive start times to fish in the summer months are the magic hours of sunrise and sunset.
The Bluefish invade the bay and the Weakfish start to show, by mid May we are into the large Weakfish and catching Bass on the tides. June, July, August and into September provide excellent Weak fishing and some jumbo Fluke throughout the bay! October and November I have Stripers on my mind, with most of the Bass hammering plastics, top waters and flies in less than 10 feet of water.
In search of some of the best back water fly and light tackle fishing in south Jersey, "I realize that increasing numbers of anglers and boat traffic are putting a lot of undo stress on our fishery". I use time tested methods to locate and employ innovating patterns to raise fish in some out of the way spots, with artificial baits and proven fly patterns.
My baits of choice, for the most part, are 4 to 6 inch artificial baits, soft plastics, buck-tail jigs and some custom fly and teaser patterns, natural bait is available, (live bait and shrimp are extra and provided at "market price") We fish for quality not quantity using light casting tackle and fly fishing gear. "This style of light tackle back water fishing is my PASSION"! YOU are in control, YOU cast, YOU work the rod, YOU set the hook! When it all comes together it's "FISH ON" time!
We primarily target Weakfish, Stripped Bass, and summer Flounder in the tidal flows of Barnegat Inlet and bay system.
We can also arrange any type bay trip you desire - Fly fishing, fly casting instructions, inshore tournaments, cruising, crabbing, instructions and local knowledge, or a dinner out at a water side cafe or restaurant in the area.

All fishing trips are $350.00 1-3 anglers

Fishing trips are 3/4 day (5+ hrs in length)

3+ hour "RUN & GUN" magic hour trips @ $250.00 - 2 anglers

Fly fishing and night trips are limited to 2 Anglers.

Start times are flexible (Sunrise and Sunset are prime time!)

All tackle is supplied, or you can bring your favorite rod.

Fly fishermen are encouraged to bring 5wt to 9wt rods

Your catch is dressed and iced

Water and Ice will be supplied.

The particulars:
*A $50 Deposit is required to book a date
*ALL Weather cancellations are at the Captains Discretion
*Boarding at the dock in Barnegat at www.sunharborbayclub.com (Exit 67 GSP) or pick-ups can be arranged on Long Beach Island at "Bobbies Boats" (In Barnegat Light, next to the Coast Guard Station)
*Dress Accordingly, sun protection, foul weather gear etc.
*Please remember the sun glass's !
*Bring snacks, lunch or drinks.
